Author Biography

Nancy Geddes Poole

Nancy Geddes Poole was born in London, Canada, May 10, 1930 to Dr. John Hardy and Kathleen Geddes. She descends from early 19th century pioneers, who settled in Middlesex and Huron counties. She is married to W. R. Poole, Q.C. and they have one daughter, Andrea Mary Geddes Poole.

Split-image artwork titled “the ART of LONDON.” The top half shows a mid-century living room with two children—one seated in a chair watching a small television and another standing nearby—while a large window reveals a snowy suburban scene with trees and buildings. Star-shaped decorations hang in the window. The bottom half contrasts with a classical-style painting of two nude children illuminated by warm firelight in a dark interior setting. A bold diagonal band separates the two scenes, with large white text reading “the ART of LONDON.”
